Mans' Work
Behind the scenes on Mans' Work a British TV
series starring Ashley Hames as he travels around the world doing
dangerous jobs. In New Zealand he put his life in Peter Hassall's hands
and trained to become a stuntman.
Peter Hassall instructs (left to right) Ashley Hames,
Simon Snowball, and Leo Semau
in the correct way to start a bar room brawl.
(Left to right) Leo Semau, Ashley Hames, Simon
Snowball, and Dan Stirling all
looking their meanest! Would you believe Ashley beat them all up?
OK, so who's the stunt cooridnator here? Ashley telling
Peter a thing or two. Not
long afterwards Peter set fire to Ashley and threw him off the pier.
That'll learn 'im.

stunt coordinator
Marc Angelo (near right) watches.

Truth in advertising? Methinks not. Ashley ponces
about in the Holden Advanced Driving Systems car
before being taken for a ride (a.k.a scared sh**less)
by Stuart Roddick.

Peter Hassall giving Ashley last minute instructions
before the night time speedway stunt. Did you say
two fire walls?

Ashley all set to crash through two walls of fire. Assistant stunt
coordinator Marc
Angelo goes along for the ride. But where's Peter?

Camerman filming a section of the 25,000 strong crowd at Robertson
Holden
International Speedway (Palmerston North). Peter's legs can just be
seen as he
spreads lots of flammable gel on one of the fire walls.

The first wall of fire is lit and Peter is just finishing off the
second one.

Still good friends. A happy Ashley Hames and an exhausted Peter Hassall
after all
the stunts are done.
